GIS Developer - Luciad Map
A GIS developer who has worked using Luciad Map GIS tools is required for software development activities for the map components, bug fixing activities and maintenance of the map design documentation. You must have use Luciad Map and have thefollowing skills: Experience in Object Oriented Analysis, design and programming, Extensive Java knowledge, Experience in design and development of optimized Java code, performance tuning, multithreaded applications and memory management, Very good mathematical skills, Experience in Application Server BEA Weblogic or similar, Experience with open source tools based on Java, Web 2.0 technologies and IDE like Eclipse, Experience with code generation, Experience in the mission critical application development, Experience in unit testing, Experience in map libraries.The role will consist of Design, development and maintenance of the CHMI and Portal map applications, On-call support for about 3-4 weeks a year during the applications migration, Development and maintenance of unit tests for the map components, Prototyping of new architecture or features.
The role is based in Brussels for an Air traffic control organisation on large, complex, safety critical, IT systems. Excellent long term contract opportunity working in a European environment where English is the written and verbal language, any other European languages are helpful to have. Great opportunity, contracts are offered on a12 month basis and renewed annually.
