GIS Analyst

Education:
* Minimum 4 yr College diploma and 4 yrs experience in Geography, Geology, or related discipline with emphasis in GIS.

Experience:
* Minimum 4 years' experience in above GIS related field and Bachelor's degree in above field required.
* Upstream (preferably Exploration) Petroleum industry experience required.
* Experience writing advanced-level queries and label expressions required.
* Familiarity with ArcGIS Toolbox required.

* Silverlight and JavaScript programming required
* Powerpoint experience required.
* Silverlight and Java scripting required.
* Familiarity with ArcGIS Server preferred.
* Sharepoint 2010 experience preferred.

Duties:
* Maintain GIS databases:
o Load vendor data updates
o Run data maintenance scripts
o Load new vendor or internal data
o Load new and update internal data
* Search for and assist in acquiring new data.
* Provide user support in the form on one-on-one help.
* Write queries and label expression for Graphics Support team and end-users.
* Assist / advise the Graphics Support team in compiling cartographic quality maps, both digital and hard-copy format.
* Assist senior-level graphics support in preparing presentations, posters, conference materials, etc.
* Assist senior-level GIS support in in short-term tasks and adherence to Statoil corporate standards.
* Develop prototypes for Silverlight and/or Java web map applications.
