GIS Analyst

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct imagery analysis and imagery manipulations to support multiple GIS projects.
- Design and manage individual data layers in various formats and migrate to an enterprise geo-database using SOCET Set.
- Produce intelligence by analysing and exploiting imagery to include visible, infrared, radar, and full motion video.
- Produce and disseminate national level imagery exploitation reports to include analysis of naval and port facilities, ground force installations, airfields, missile and electronic facilities within the area of responsibility using CIB Viewer and SOCET Set.
- Identify lines of communication and industrial facilities.
- Produce GEOSPATIAL-Intelligence and Advanced GEOSPATIAL-Intelligence.
- Determine precise location and dimensions of objects. Perform daily processing, exploitation, and dissemination of multidisciplinary products using GEOINT techniques and graphical products in response to theater Requests for Information (RFI).
- Conduct research on the implications of human activities within a given area, including social characteristics, economic activities, and political organization, as well as researching interdependence between regions at scales ranging from local to global using CIB Viewer and open source intelligence.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret geographic information gathered from aerial photography and satellite imagery using SOCET Set and CIB Viewer.
- Produce a full suite of imagery derived GEOINT products and multidisciplinary products along with performing Data Management responsibilities including accessing remote databases, transferring data-sets via FTP protocols, and managing assigned ANALYST workflow to ensure requirements satisfaction and mission accomplishment.
- Routinely maintain and perform quality assurance on national geospatial databases.
- Conduct imagery analysis and imagery manipulations to support multiple GIS projects.
- Mentor and train personnel in CIB Viewer.
- Conduct quality control, ensuring that products achieve the customers' satisfaction by maintaining high quality, while ensuring production in a timely manner.
- GEOINT analysis, trend analysis, data management, panchromatic, multispectral (MSI), Microsoft Office Applications, Google Earth, SOCET.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, cartography, computer science, or a related field desirable. Military or previous GIS experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
- The ideal candidate will have proficient knowledge in several software systems including:
- SOCET systems.
- ArcGIS.
- CIB Viewer.
- GDAT.
- AMSD production.
