Geotechnical Design Engineer
Location: Belfast
Contract- 6 months
Salary: £25-£30 per hour Ltd

This is a great opportunity to be part of a busy Belfast geotechnical team in a global multidisciplinary consultancy who provide professional advice in the field of Geotechnical Engineering and Land Quality.

The successful candidate will ensure efficient project delivery in terms of geotechnical design, report writing and site supervision for internal and external clients. You will also be required to get involved with the reporting for geotechnical design works including slope stability, foundations, embedded retaining structures and ground improvements.

To be considered you should have the following:

*A degree in a relevant subject (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Gotechnics, Geology etc)
*Ideally working towards a full membership/chartership with a relevant institution
*Ideally be familiar with geotechnical design in the Highways, Water, Marine and Rail infrastructure sectors which include foundation design
*You should have previous experience working in Geotechnical project teams in a business environment.
*Demonstrate experience in delivering geotechnical projects and reports to a high technical level
*Must have a working knowledge of UK design codes, standards and specifications
*Familiarity in the use of geotechnical software and competency with the MS Office suite
*Strong communication skills
