Geospatial Engineer Job

GEOSPATIAL ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ST. LOUIS, MO.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Geospatial and ArcGIS experience.
- Python coding experience.
- SQL or PL/SQL experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Act as the central point of contact and geospatial SME for multiple application development teams.
- Leverage their experience with cartographic representation and integrating data with different projections, coordinate systems, and formats to assist application development teams with the spatial representation of business data.
- Publish, maintain, and modify multiple types of geospatial services including: map services, feature services, image services and map tile services.
- Document geospatial processes while working with application development teams.
- Use Python Scripting to automate, build, and manage geospatial processing capabilities and services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Extensive experience with enterprise geospatial systems such as ESRI and Boundless Geospatial.
- Experience using ArcGIS Desktop or QGIS for daily tasks and processes.
- Strong Python coding ability using GDAL/OGR, ArcPY, and other spatial libraries.
- Develop fast and efficient data automation scripts in Python, Perl, and/or JavaScript.
- RDBMS and SQL experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, DB2).
- Experience publishing spatial services using ESRI desktop software through the ESRI ArcGIS Server Platform.
