Geophysicist

My cleint is looking for a Geophysicist to join their team who will be responsible for generating exploration prospects and appraisal evaluations using geophysical skills, through the interpretation and mapping of 2D and 3D seismic data and seismic attribute analysis. Responsibilities Evaluate exploration opportunities to the highest technical standard; Interpret a variety of G Prepare time and depth maps and integrate other relevant geophysical and geological information to produce a complete subsurface evaluation; Work with the New Ventures team to identify and recommend potential New Ventures exploration opportunities and participate in on-site technical evaluations; Assist in the co-ordination and monitoring of outsourced geophysical projects; Provide geophysical input for area and well reviews, and maintain updated geophysical interpretations and maps; Provide geophysical input and technical assessments to prepare drilling prospects; Utilize risk analysis and concept software; Provide input to the geophysical aspects of seismic data acquisition and processing and assist in quality control of seismic data acquisition and processing; Engage with people processes in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrate a commitment to the spirit of such processes. Skill/Experience Masters' degree in Geology or Geophysics; Currently working as a Geoscientist in a similar role, with proven exploration experience; Demonstrate experience in basin and play analysis, prospect generation (seismic interpretation and mapping expertise) and volumetrics/risking; An ability to integrate geophysical, geological and engineering data to the best possible advantage of the company; Ability to quickly integrate data and judge quality opportunities, with a strong business overprint; Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills; Strong analytical skills and commercial understanding; Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a periodic basis; Proficient in the use of geoscience software: Landmark Interpretation suite (OpenWorks/SeisWorks/RokDoc), 3D Visualization (GeoProbe), UNIX-LINUX, ArcGIS, MS Office, and mapping software; Knowledge of other geophysical interpretation systems desirable
