World Leading Oil and Gas Co has an exciting opportunity for a Geo Scientist based in Russia.

The Geo Scientist will have experience of client facing and being out in the field and analysing potential locations for pinpoiinting oil reserves for future drilling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Geo Scientist, you must have clear understanding of Petroleum Geoscience concepts and principles as well as be self-motivated with the ability to make effective individual contributions within a cross-functional team.

Specific duties include:

- Seismic interpretation and attributes analysis.
- Sequence stratigraphy well log correlation and mapping.
- Opportunity generation, well planning and optimization.
- Hydrocarbons resource assessment.
- Additional duties as requested by management.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geoscience (Geology or Geophysics).
- Fluent in Russian, written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- High computer literacy coupled with an engineering or science-based skill set. 
- Ability and willingness to travel and perform field work 25-35% of the time processing or monitoring micro-seismic projects.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical competencies, possess the ability to communicate effectively, learn and integrate quickly and be expected to set and meet high standards.
