Gastrointestinal Nurse Job

GASTROINTESTINAL NURSE needed for CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Menlo Park, CA.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Previous experience as a GI Nurse

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide appropriate care to patients in a compassionate and professional manner, within the RN scope of practice as outlined by organization's policies and procedures
- Assist the patient's care team in implementing the medical plan of care
- Perform and assist providers with routine and/or specialized clinical procedures including conscious sedation within the RN scope of practice and department policies
- Administer ordered medications and vaccines in a safe, accurate, professional and timely manner following policies and procedures
- Perform routine screenings and place orders for patients who are due for quality measures program point of care testing

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Current California RN license
- CPR certification
- Previous experience in ambulatory care, preferably in a gastrointestinal unit
- Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy and EMR systems
- Verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate courtesy, compassion and helpfulness in a professional manner towards employees, patients and patient families
