Fund Analyst

Optimum Finance are currently recruiting for an experienced Fund Analyst to join a global Financial Services organisation in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

- Processing security trade transactions in line with the underlying funds valuation points
- Updating trades either electronically or manually, check output to ensure that details are accurately reflected onto the portfolios
- Matching of Security Trades, based on details received from Managers and Brokers
- Monitor trade matching process, check output and record unmatched items and then follow up
- Issuing settlement instructions for trades and other transaction types to Custodians within agreed timescales
- Following up of queries with Client/Brokers, and daily checking of failed trades information received from Custodian, as well as investigating interest claims that have been received
- Addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department

Experience Required:

- In depth knowledge of: failed trades, trade matching and trade settlements              
- Familiar and conversant with Custodians and Brokers
- Excellent knowledge of Settlement Practices with Investment Operations
- Excellent attention to detail 
- Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities
