For our client in BASEL we are looking for a FUNCTIONAL LEAD (BIOANALYTICS) for a 12-MONTH project.

Job description:
You will lead a laboratory with 2 - 3 associates within Biologics Technical Development and Manufacturing. Your main responsibility will be to design, develop, validate and execute various bioanalytical assays to assess the biological activity (potency) and purity of biopharmaceuticals in clinical development. As well as supporting manufacturing process development, your lab will release drug substances and drug products for human use under GMP. A range of bioanalytical methods will be needed, including target binding assays, cell-based potency assays, immunoassays for various process-related impurities, and PCR-based assays for residual host-cell DNA. You will be a member of several project teams and will contribute to the preparation of clinical trial applications and registration documents.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
. PhD and preferably postdoctoral experience in life sciences with strong background in cell biology and/or biochemistry
. Experience in development of cell-based assays and immunoassays, preferably in an industrial setting
. Knowledge and/or experience of working under GxP would be highly desirable
. Excellent communication, team and leadership skills
. Sound knowledge of English is required; knowledge of German is desirable
