Functional Designer (Brussels)

Je functie: Context of the mission
Our company is a Belgian Insurer. It sells its products via banks, brokers and Employee benefits, each having its own commercial and operational policy.
The Employee benefits application (EB Online) designs External site used by the Employers and Employees so that they can consult their data which are managed in
different legacy systems. These employers and employees can also so self-serving We are looking for an analyst to enforce the IS development team.

Objective of the job
You will have the following responsibilities:
o As Functional Analyst, you define the functional specificities of the solution in close cooperation with architecture team, following rules and process used into
our company.
o If necessary, you participate to the study of several functional solutions foreseen with the client.
o You actively participate to development cost evaluation of a work request.
o You are coaching the developers et assume the follow up of projects in close cooperation with your Group Leader.
o The Functional Analyst is responsible of integration and non-regression tests related to the launch in production requests. In this context, we ask you to:
o Identify, create, maintain and validate the application test cases.
o Execute, if necessary, manual test during development phase.
o Maintain and validate tests scripts used for our applications

Duration: 12 months

Education
BUniversity Graduate or Professional bachelor with EDP Study Program
Ideally University graduate "Master" in Information Science

Languages Requirement
*Dutch and French, one fluent speaking, the other one good speaking at least.
English : Good

Mandatory
o Good passive knowledge in modelling applications and processes, Functional analysis
o High Level Business Knowledge of Insurance Domains & high level Business or Application Knowledge of a dedicated
business line domain. Understands the functional design processes

Preferable
o Knowledge of Heath care business

Technical experience required 5 - 10 Years Experience
Mandatory
o Excellent knowledge of MS-office Tools
o Understanding of relevant technologies and development life cycles
o Good knowledge of the technical patrimonium of one set of applications. General knowledge of multi platform
integration techniques. Able to design & implement small size solutions.

Preferable
o Cobol, DB2 (+.Net, SQL), ESB(Bizztalk)

Functional experience required 5 - 10 Years Experience
Mandatory
o Min 5 years experience as functional analyst
o Experienced within analyse activities
o Able to create new process (analyse)
o Able to adapt current process (analyse)
o Able to think in term of "services

Preferable
o Insurance and/or banking applications

People Management experience required 5 - 10 Years Experience
Mandatory
o Able to to coordinate the work of some related teammembers.
o Ability to take a leading role in delivering team goals.
