Full Stack Java Developer

FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER

A Full stack Java Developer is urgently required for a long-term, lucrative contract position with a major Financial Services client in Amsterdam.

The Full stack Java Developer will be working on the latest technologies with a strong focus on performance, large data sets and Real Time. The Full stack Java Developer will deliver business value across the entire end-to-end application chain together within a team.

The Full stack Java Developer will ideally have 65%+ of the following skills and experience:

- Education at Bachelor/Master level with a strong analytical background, preferably in IT, Cybernetics, or Econometrics
- Certifications and/or proven proficiency in JAVA
- CSD (Certified Scrum Developer/Engineer) is nice to have
- Proven Agile experience
- Very good spoken and written command of English
- Good understanding of Software Architectures
- Experience with no-SQL databases
- Continuous Delivery (GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, JUnit, Sonar)
- You have experience in Mirco-Services
- You know how to build the best performing systems.
- Fluent English, Dutch speakers strongly preferred

The Full stack Java Developer will be responsible for activities including:

- Refinement and planning with your team, working with teams from the involved E2E chain and the Product Owner. The change needs to be an integrated part of the total solution.
- Build beautiful and maintainable code in JAVA from scratch.
- Work with in-memory no-SQL databases.
- Have an understanding of RHEL and Middleware software which you configure to deliver agreed features. You know where the risks are between your application/DB and OS and Middleware.
- Capacity and performance management.
- Continuous Delivery
- Teach, coach and train colleagues, sharing knowledge.
- Testing code and applications: unit, system, regression, functional, integration, security, PEN, and chain testing at different (more and more connected) environments.
- Helping to ensure IT Service secure at all levels: OS, Middleware, application, chain and client level.
- Use of ITIL processes, understanding how these support the quality of your application.
- Play a more and more important role in "hire & fire" and planning, coaching, and appraisal processes - asking and receiving honest feedback is therefore very important.
