Position: Front End Web Developer (Contract)
Location: MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, Manchester, North West
Rate: Rate: £200-£300+ per day depending on experience
Duration: Initially 6 weeks (Potential extension)

ROLE:
As a Front End web Developer you'll work on an exciting range of projects from inception to delivery. You will have an eye for detail and deliver high quality user interfaces using the latest trends and technologies. To be successful in this role you'll either have a web development, web design or equivalent; ideally with some commercial experience, or you may have a less advanced qualification balanced with a broader portfolio of work from your extended time in the industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You'll be involved through the entire project life cycle, including day to day Agile processes, full stack development and client facing meetings
- You'll work as part of a team of talented Developers to create innovative and tailored solutions for our customers
- You'll also work alongside less experienced Apprentices, who you'll mentor and support when required

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- A degree in a Web Development related Degree, an equivalent or significant industry experience
- Solid experience of HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with WordPress
- Good understanding of JavaScript and jQuery
- Proven record of success in similar role and sound commercial experience in a fast-paced, innovative organisation

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Portfolio of work from your time in the industry
- Understanding of JavaScript and knowledge of Front End JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Backbone or Ember
- Experience with SASS or LESS and understanding of Twitter Bootstrap or Zurb Foundation
- Understanding of integrating Back End PHP applications
