Front End Web Developer

My client is currently looking for a FRONT END WEB DEVELOPER to join their team immediately on an initial 6 month contract.

We are looking for a true performer that is able to work in a challenging environment.

Key responsibilities:

- Development (coding) and maintenance of applications utilising the following: technologies, HTML5, AJAX, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, XML/XSL/XSD and JSON
- On time delivery of Robust and Functional web based applications that have been developed using Unit Testing methodologies and built using a Continuous Integration approach
- Contribute to the Design and Implementation of Performance Testing of web based applications
- Management of source code version control utilising a Source Control repositories such as GIT or equivalent
- Delivery of Modular, Object Oriented, and Responsive HTML5 based web applications

Skills needed:

- Demonstrated extensive experience in HTML5 Object Oriented web application development in a large and complex/diverse service industry organisation, including relevant qualifications or equivalent. This includes strong knowledge and practical experience in working with HTML5, DOM, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, XML/XSL/XSD, JSON, Unit Testing, Continual Integration.
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design, web application MVC/MVVM/MV* frameworks, JavaScript frameworks, with demonstrated experience in at least two of the following, RequireJS, Knockout, Breeze, Sammy, Durandal or Angular.
- Demonstrated understanding of the full software development life cycle
- Experience in performance tuning and the optimisation of Javascript/HTML5 web applications, including practical knowledge of load/performance testing.
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment
- Capacity and willingness, including current NSW driver's license, to travel to business and service locations throughout NSW, which may include overnight stay in regional/remote areas.
