Front End Software Engineer

Our hugely popular client is seeking a Front End Software Engineer with a passion for building world-class products and a desire to change the way their interactive media interfaces with web and mobile guests. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and develop interactive web and mobile web applications
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to develop guest-facing products
- Collaborate with iPhone, Android, and Back End developers to ship new features and products
- Resolve defects, support testing effort, and deploy production code on a frequent basis

REQUIREMENTS

- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- 2+ years of Web development and Internet technology experience
- 2+ years of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Development experience
- 1-2 years in a Scripting language such as Python, Ruby, or Perl
- Proficiency in browser-side client technologies including object-oriented JSS, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
- REST API integration experience required
- Proven experience with web optimization and performance debugging
- Proven experience in creating light weight JavaScript and CSS libraries
- Experience solving performance bottlenecks in AJAX applications
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues and browser degradation strategies
- Experience architecting and designing large scale web 2.0 applications
- Experience with HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON and SOA web services
- Experience with Scripting languages such as PHP, Perl, and/or Ruby in Unix/Linux Environment
- Knowledge of semantic markup and accessibility techniques
- Preferred Qualifications Experience building applications for the mobile web
- Experience with Apache Tomcat or NGINX
- Experience with relational and noSQL databases
- Experience with Web-service development and Restful design patterns
- JS Framework experience: Angular or Backbone preferred
- Experience building use case driven software with Agile Software Development and Test Driven Development methodologies
