As a key digital contributor you will develop, test, and maintain new and existing websites and applications in support of our client achieving business requirements. This includes working in a team to bring designs and requirements to life with user-friendly, appealing, interactive and ground breaking results.

You will contribute to scoping, building, testing and implementing new feature enhancements within existing systems as requested by internal business units.

Key Responsibilities

. Contribute to cross-platform technology solutions to accommodate web and mobile html5 applications.

. Prototype creative solutions quickly and engaging others to craft and implement technical solution.

. Maintain an advanced level of awareness in developments for new media technologies, home entertainment and online industry to identify future trends and opportunities.

. Provide feedback and direction for Pacific Magazine's digital projects and digital opportunities to the Digital Design and Development Director. As well as participate in pre-sales by passing on leads to the Digital Design and Development Director.

. Maintain, challenge and continue to introduce effective and efficient standards and procedures, including but not limited to technology, usability, online community protocols, W3C standards, web publishing etc.

. All works for this role should meet the Pacific Magazine's values and assist in the evolution of best practice.

. Exhibit appropriate skills and behaviours and partake in mentoring programme to help build future technical specialists

. Be decisive when faced with hard decisions, as well as remaining calm under pressure and instill confidence in your colleagues, team and clients that you will deliver a quality solution

. Always understand the client's vision to ensure you are delivering a solution that will meet or exceed expectations

. Continue professional development and acquire necessary certifications, presenting as an expert to Pacific Magazine's clients

. Be prepared and able to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously. Document architecture and technical aspects of a solution

. Support other developers where-ever possible by sharing your knowledge and experience

. Apply the appropriate coding techniques/practices to a problem given the constraints of time, scope, requirements and budget

. Communicate early and appropriately with peers and clients

. Take initiative and always look for ways in which you can improve the success of a solution

Required Skills and Knowledge

. Excellent cutting-edge HTML5 and CSS3 standards

. Solid JavaScript competencies, including use of current frameworks and tools

. Knowledge of current browser and device platforms, including strengths and limitations

. Best practices and current trends for optimum user experience (UX)

. Dynamic presentation and interactivity, including web-based animation

. Use of source control

. Desirable: Experience with development in .NET for web (ASP.NET MVC C# MVC)

. Desirable: Experience and in-depth understanding of Object Oriented Design, Test Driven Development and Agile methodologies. Understanding of Continuous Integration.
