Front End Developer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) - North West - £200-300 per day

My client based in the North West of England have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Front End Developer to join their world class development team and apply web design to AAA interactive entertainment.

The company is a worldwide producer of interactive games and has won numerous awards since their inception. With over 10 years experience in the industry they pride themselves on employing the best of the best and are looking for a Web Developer with a passion for creating highly interactive and polished web experiences.

The role will involve designing, developing, documenting, testing and maintaining high quality interactive game user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a web development portfolio and includes examples of large scale, dynamic, polished web user experiences. You will need to show a passion and aptitude for timely delivery of highly polished and usable interactive web experiences.

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in HTML5.

Excellent knowledge of CSS3 including transitions and animations.

Practical experience of JavaScript including jQuery and Ajax.

Aptitude for producing high quality markup and code.

Familiarity with responsive web design.

A thirst for knowledge, proactively seeking and applying cutting edge technologies and practices.

A desire to apply web technologies to videogame development.

Excellent communication skills.

Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to decompose, estimate and prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

Minification techniques

Unit testing

Using web analytics to inform and refine design decisions

Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Lean
