FRONT END DEVELOPER | ANGULAR JS | NODE JS | JAVASCRIPT | LONDON

Front End Developer who has proven experience for Angular JS and Node JS for a 6 month contract based in London.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Developing quality, testable and performant, full-stack JavaScript software in an Agile environment
- Using practices such as pair programming and automated, multi-layer testing (TDD/BDD/ATDD)
- Keeping complex production and test code clean, SOLID and DRY
- Ensuring the required level of browser compatibility, often meaning just the most modern browsers
- Working alongside the analyst and stakeholders: shaping, estimating, planning and showcasing new functionality
- Participating in the full software life cycle, including support and continuous integration
- Striving for continuous improvement within a self-regulating team.

REQUIRED SKILLS

-Fluency in pure JavaScript (ES5)
- Ability to both code custom JavaScript solutions and utilise existing frameworks and libraries.
- Strong Protractor skills with proven experience on complex projects
- Knowledge of other testing tools such as Jasmine, Mocha, Sinon, QUnit
- Experience writing and testing AngularJS and NodeJS applications (MEAN stack)
- At least basic working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
- Working knowledge of version control systems (preferably Git)
- Passion for User Experience
- Strong problem solving, communication and analytical skills

DESIRED SKILLS

- Advanced Front End skills: SCSS, RWD and frameworks such as Bootstrap
- Interest in ES6/ECMAScript 2015
- Knowledge of software design patterns (GoF and Martin Fowler)
- Experience with visual regression tools and technologies
