Freelance Web Developer with good Knowledge of PHP

An important client of ours is looking for an experienced web developer to join their team in 2014.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:

- Go-between business users, ie external communication teams, and the web developers: bridging the gap between business and IT;
- Practical validation and implementation of Web 2.0 solutions;
- Advice, analysis, design, development, tests, documentation, release control, maintenance and technical support of infrastructure software components and services matching the specifications for Internet solutions;
- Proof of concept, prototyping of web infrastructure solutions;
- Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with Web 2.0 solutions;
- Production of technical documentation;
- Assistance with configuration of the system for production deployment and in training administrators and users;
- Participation in meetings.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The following knowledge and skills are requested:

- At least 9 years of relevant experience;
- Bachelor of Master degree;
- Excellent knowledge of English and very good knowledge of French. Any other language is a plus;
- Up to date know-how in Internet web applications development;
- Excellent knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Apache;
- Excellent knowledge of Drupal;
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX;
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments;
- Technical support experience .

Due to the particular nature of this large international organization, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project;
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings, ease of communication in French and/or English;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to write documentation in French and/or English.
