Fraud Operations Analyst Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a FRAUD OPERATIONS SPECIALIST to join our client in Salt Lake City, UT.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Identify risk and prevent loss from fraud reports, referrals from fraud email box and return items (multiple sources/platforms).
- Make sound subjective decisions to close risky relationships, place and remove restrictions on accounts, return ACH/cancel wires.
- Investigate risk identified through new account filters from new account opening process.
- Investigate check and ACH returns and rejects.
- Review referrals from all business units.
- Run and review pro-active risk reports, conduct research using third party data sources to validate monetary and non-monetary transactions.
- Research legal and regulatory issues as requested.
- Update and maintain alerts, case management databases to document outcomes and hand-offs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification or Military Experience.
- Ability to work independently, self-driven, highly focused, ability to meet tight timeframes and service level objectives.
- Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize fraud reviews/activity to most important risk duties.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate high risk events prudently and timely with fact based approach.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail in fraud reviews and case documentation.
- Flexibility around work hours and days.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Bachelor's Degree or associates degree in Criminal Justice, Business or equivalent work experience in bank fraud.
- Experience making quick, high quality decisions on complex issues.
