THE ROLE
A Fraud/Credit Analyst is responsible for conducting risk assessment on WorldPay (Streamline) merchants through daily work items produced by the merchant fraud and credit monitoring system, exception reports and other systems. Appropriate action will be taken in accordance with procedures and guidelines to minimise credit and fraud bad debts. Compliance issues identified to be escalated as appropriate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- B - divert of settlement funds pending further investigation and the subsequent management of those funds to cover chargeback liabilities - termination of merchant facilities - preparation and escalation of credit monitoring alerts
- Completion of Suspicious Activity Reports in accordance with regulatory and WorldPay policy compliance
- Investigation case completion in accordance with policy and procedure
- Sound working relationships with fraud and credit monitoring colleagues, Police Support, other WorldPay business areas, acquirers and card issuers
- To carry out activities in a timely and effective manner
- Maintaining and updating procedures and policies

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE:

- Fraud risk management in a cards environment
- Knowledge of credit risk indicators and credit reporting
- Familiarity with other risk types including money laundering and compliance
- Knowledge of Card schemes and regulatory matters relating to card processing preferred but not essential
- Experience of working in a customer service environment desirable

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to work volumes accurately under pressure and to handle potentially confrontational situations on the telephone
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and consistency and ensure tasks are followed through to completion
- Need to be able to work as part of a team, as well as work independently according to company procedures and guidelines
- Change oriented
- A high standard of written and verbal communication is essential, as is the development of good working relationships with other departments within WorldPay
- Deal with complaints as required, in accordance with procedure
- Embrace WorldPay values
- Knowledge of procedures and policies

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

- Good working knowledge of MS Office products and Internet
- Familiarity with debit and credit card fraud and the impact of this upon the WorldPay business
- Credit Risk including credit bureau (eg Experian)
