FPGA Engineer

Roc Search's Client is currently recruiting for an FPGA engineer to support a critical customer delivery based in Staffordshire. This will be an initial 3 months' contract with a view of extensions and to start ASAP.

Job Role:
*To interact with customer and capture requirements
*To own the FPGA Architecture, design development & provide board level validation support at onsite.
*To Architect, develop and provide board level validation support on development of SERDES, PON, Gigabit Ethernet in to the existing system
*Design Documentation and mentoring the team.
*Work with both offshore and Onsite team and technical co-ordination.

Technical/Soft Skills Required:
*PON - Passive optical Network
*SERDES
*VHDL
*High Speed board design
*High Speed interface Validation

Desired:
*Optical/SONET/OTN, Gigabit Ethernet protocols
