Foundation Fabrication Supervisor

We are supporting a Global Renewable Energy client in its search for a Foundation Fabrication Supervisor for its offshore wind farm project. Our client is looking for the Foundation Fabrication Supervisor to be able to start this approximately 16.5 month contract role from 15th August 2015 up until approx. 31st December 2016 with the possibility of 2 or 3 month extensions. This role will be based in Eastern Europe. The role is 5 working days per week, 8 hrs on average, some night and weekend work will occur.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Technical support to project team during maturation phase eg evaluation of tender documents and design
- Review procedures for fabrication (for welding (WBS) coating, measurements, general handling fabrication site
- Participation in visits/audits at contractor/sub - contractors fabrication sites
- Inspection of steel, coating work according to the clients requirements and tolerances
- Follow up on inspection punch lists and handling of findings in fabrication were the clients requirements are not meet
- Supervision of contractors ITP on steel work/coating (Inspection & test plan)
- Handling the 3rd part consultant (welding/coating specialists and technicians)
- Review documentation on steel/coating work executed on site
- Review contractors as-built documentation
- Participate in contractor progress meetings
- Progress reporting to Fabrication Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Technical knowledge of steel fabrication for offshore structures
- Technical knowledge of coating work of offshore structures
- Technical knowledge of requirements/standards for offshore steel structures
- Knowledge regarding test of welding works (MT/NDT etc)
- Experience in execution large fabrication contracts for steel work
- Experience in understanding/securing Employer requirements are meet in the daily fabrication at the site
