Fleet Warranty Coordinator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a FLEET WARRANTY COORDINATOR I to join our client in Allentown, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- DURATION: APPROXIMATELY 24 MONTHS.
- PAY RANGE: UP TO $ 19.84 PER HOUR.
- Assignment hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Very little travel expected; primarily one to two weeks overall. Need to visit Company sites to develop process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This position is responsible for developing and implementing a warranty collection program for the Company's North American fleet.
- There are 3000 vehicles; 38 maintenance shops in NA fleet.
- Reporting directly to the NA Fleet Operations/Maintenance manager.
- In addition, this position will be responsible for insurance claims collections.
- With support from the Fleet Maintenance Specialist, Engineering and local technicians, develop, implement, and monitor a warranty program/policy.
- Develop a warrant collection application for the sites to enter needed warranty information to file a claim.
- Work closely Original Engineering Manufacturers (OEMs) and other suppliers to ensure warranty procedures and processes are consistently applied.
- Enter warranty claims through the OEM.
- Maintain and update the Fleet Warranty Manual.
- Develop a sound understanding of existing contractual warranty obligations and contribute to the development of new contractual warranty arrangements as appropriate.
- Monitor the performance of new vehicle in service and co-ordinate the resolution of outstanding warranty issues.
- Audit the condition and compliance of new vehicles prior to the conclusion of bumper-to-bumper warranty) and coordinate the resolution of outstanding warranty issues.
- Develop and maintain a warranty database.
- In conjunction with stakeholders, review procedures and processes to ensure best practice outcomes.
- Develop and implement a framework for optimizing warranty coverage of parts exchange and approved after-market components.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators for presentation to management and productivity meetings.
- Have input into the technical specifications for vehicles.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all AP vehicle standards, codes of practice, statutory requirements.
- Working closely with our fleet safety and insurance on collecting accident claims when fault is associated to the other party.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma, Bachelor degree is preferred (Business Administration, Engineering or Communication).
- Three (3) years minimum experience in the transportation industry or heavy truck maintenance (previous experience: vehicle maintenance activities, manufacturing, fleet management, fleet safety).
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organization.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Working knowledge of SAP is a plus - prefer someone with general knowledge.
- Fleet Engineering background is a plus.
