Fixed Costs and Goods Accountant

Fixed Cost and Goods Accountant required on a 12 month contract basis to work for my global and prestigious client based in Leicestershire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a corporate business environment which is constantly growing year on year.

Due to global activity this role as arisen for a 12 month contract basis.

Reporting into the Financial Director you will use both your custodian and business partnering skills to work closely with the leadership and marketing team.

The role objective is to drive the performance and manage the advertising and promotions budget, manage the operational accounting of food overhead costs plus franchise and sales, support the market teams in their analysis of their relevant fixed costs areas and complete required corporate and external reporting and tax pack requirements.

Key responsibilities to include;
- Ownership of overhead budget with responsibility to control budgets and report to senior manager on improvement recommendations
- Building up strong relationships with key budget holders, drive and business partner the performance of overhead costs, looking for opportunities for cost reduction through regular review sections
- Production and analysis of food periodic costs
- Managing global cost sharing arrangements
- Own UK overheads re charge process for foods
- Ensure accuracy and validity of costs charged in and out
- Control and reconciliation of own balance sheet accruals and prepayments accounts
- Complete the required corporate external tax pack requirements for overheads and review our submission with PWC.
- Own and drive the buy to pay audit process for food UK, ensuring full compliance
- Ownership of A
- Desirable, knowledge of SAP
- Degree in Financial related area
- Good numerical and analytical and communication skills
- CIMA or ACA qualified
