Firewall Engineer

My Client, a telecoms company based in Bern Switzerland are looking for a Firewall engineer with working knowledge of Stonesoft Firewalls, for a 6 month contract with an immediate start.

The perfect candidate will have completed a (technical) education in computer science or other similar, completed training in IT as well as have:

- Experience in Firewall's as well as IT security environment
- Network (Cisco Routing and Switching) and Firewall skills (Check Point Provider-1, FW-1 and VSX)
- Working knowledge of Stonesoft Firewalls
- Resilient, flexible and team oriented personality with conceptual thinking skills
- Independent, responsible, structured and solution-oriented approach.
- Analytical, safety conscious and integrated thinking and action.
- Experience with Linux operating system
- Knowledge of the operational environment
- Fluent German
- English, spoken and written

Responsibilities will include:

- Firewall Rules Base expansions and deletions
- Rule base clean-ups
- Log analysis
- Troubleshooting
- Automation with Scripting
