Manager, Financial Control

BACKGROUND

Group Corporate Treasury ("GCT") is a key function within Group Finance which oversees the make up of the Group's balance sheet. The three main functions are management of capital, management of liquidity and management of market risk outside the trading portfolios.

The Financial Control function is responsible for the integrity of the GCT general ledgers, statutory and management reporting and preparation of budgets and forecasts. Teams are based inLondon, Edinburgh and Bristol.

JOB PURPOSE

To work with the GCT Financial Control team to set up end to end finance controls over the GCT business in Summit3.8.3 and the Treasury Oracle general ledger.

To assist with the month end reporting processes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The role holder will be accountable for:
* Documenting existing procedures and controls
* Identifying control gaps and developing procedures and controls for these
* Developing governance processes to ensure these procedures and controls are adhered to
* Identifying key controls for SOX purposes
* Preparing SOX documentation including evidence that key controls have been completed
* Completing financial control tasks relating to month end ledger close

Key skills/knowledge/experience
* Qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE
* Financial control, audit or SOX experience in a treasury environment
