Financial Analyst, Planning & Analytics

Our client, a major Investment and retail bank, urgently requires a Financial Analyst to lead the planning and analysis across a number of complex business units. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years post qualified experience in a top bank/consultancy and have a total of 5-6 years working experience.

Planning
*Lead on the Planning process across a number of complex business units, engaging with a wide range of senior stakeholders across a number of global locations
*Ensure accurate and timely delivery of planning iterations
*Lead on detailed review and challenge of complex planning numbers with senior stakeholders across a number of locations
*Be the subject matter expert in quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting - first point of call for a wide range of stakeholders involved in the complex planning processes
*The role involves co-ordination and communication of planning timetables to a wide range of stakeholders across a number of business areas and locations, as well as management of the process to ensure all contacts are achieving their deliverables
*An important part of the role will be to identify areas where the planning processes can be improved, and help to drive through those improvements

Analytics
*Produce accurate, timely MI to ensure all have full understanding of latest planning data
*Deal with ad hoc services, complex queries or analysis, where expertise is required
*The role involves the provision of MI to stakeholders to explain latest positions
*Support delivery of key financial analytics projects
*Key focus areas will include cost analytics, banking operations analytics, external benchmarking, and performance management
*Recommendations to improve COO performance through delivery of new business solution

Essential:
*Qualified accountant (3-5 years post qualification in top bank/consultancy)
*Strong commercial skills
*Ability to cope with changing demands and requirements
