Financial Analyst Assistant (Premiums)

Duration: 9 month Fixed Term Contract SALARY: UP TO £19,000 + BENEFITS

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Premiums Financial Analyst Assistant to join our Reassurance Team based in Glasgow, on a part time, fixed term basis. The role will provide cover for maternity leave for approximately 9 months from the beginning of February.

The role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities some of which are set out below:

Main duties will include

- Responsible for ensuring reassurance premium data is sent out in accordance with the reassurance treaties
- Responsible for populating the reinsurance premium and netting off schedules
- Processing accounting entries for reassurance transactions
- Responsible for carrying out a policyholder claim payment reconciliation
- Carrying out monthly accounting reconciliations
- Carrying out all tasks to given deadlines and in accordance with laid-down procedures
- Ensuring netting off statements agreed with each Reinsurer prior to BACS settlement
- Prepare BACS settlement schedule

Applicants must have

- Solid experience of MS Excel - Vlookup, pivot tables
- Numerate
- The adaptability to understand in-house policy administration systems
- Experience of analysing and processing financial data
- Excellent organisational skills, managing time effectively to meet tight deadlines
- A detailed, meticulous, thorough approach to work
- Good communication skills
- Good team working skills
