DEPARTMENT: Design and construction team

SIZE OF TEAM: 8-10

NUMBER OF PEOPLE SUPERVISED: none; some direction and training of junior cost analyst or project administrator.

STAGE OF THE PROJECT: Approx. 150 active projects in all phases: scoping through construction/closeout.

TOP DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Primary focus of this position is on data analysis and reporting.
- Prepares and analyzes cost data for inclusion in project cost reporting.
- Under general supervision, prepares and inputs project specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
- Posts vendor invoice data into accounting system.
- Prepares monthly cashflow reports.
- Prepares monthly accruals of work in place.
- Sets up projects in project accounting system.
- Reviews and approves work authorizations with internal construction and IT partners.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

- BA in Finance or Accounting required
- Maximum 2-3 years' direct relevant experience
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with any kind of computerized accounting system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
