Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:

- Accounts Payable duties to include entering vendor invoices, paying vendors and monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Maintain accounting records by making copies/filing documents.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Assist with month end duties: recurring journal entries, reconcile AP to subledger, headcount report, CIP and spare parts reconciliations.
- Assist with month end variance analysis and management reporting.
- Assist with reviewing and consolidating indirect spend.
- Departmental budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- At least 5 years of related accounting experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft office - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure with high quality and strong responsibility.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility.
- Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Great Plains and SAP experience desirable.
- Accounts Payable experience.
