Financial Accountant, Telecoms

Our client, a large global Telecoms company, has an urgent requirement for a Financial Accountant.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant and have experience in Telecoms.

Key responsibilities:

1.Month end Reporting
§Complete the production of timely and accurate monthly results within the agreed month end timetable.
§Perform analysis of results to ensure completeness/accuracy and be able to explain key trends and movements.
§Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliation, including investigating and resolving reconciling items
§Provide detailed analysis of the results to the business, giving insight into the drivers behind the trends

2.Stakeholder engagement/Communication
§Be able to communicate results to stakeholders in the business, both inside and outside finance.
§Work with the business to resolve billing/commercial queries

3.Innovation
§Encourage and drive a continuous process improvement culture to create further efficiencies within the team in order to meet challenging objectives.
§Recommend ideas and help implement improvements to processes cross functionally and/or within own role area.

4.Control
§Ensure ongoing compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and promote a highly controlled and accurate working environment.
§Be able to identify and address any control weaknesses.

Essential
Qualified (CIMA or equivalent) ideally with relevant business experience
Experience in the mobile telecommunications industry
Team player with positive attitude
Detail conscious
Understanding of IFRS
Ability to challenge the status-quo in a mature and sophisticated manner
Strong financial and analytical skills
Strong Knowledge of Excel essential
