Financial Accountant/Finance Manager

Financial Accountant/Finance Manager - Group Accounting opportunity available for a leading telecommunications organisation based in West London.

Working as a Financial Accountant/Finance Manager, you will be responsible
Join on a 6 month contract, you will be responsible for managing all year-end reporting, month-end duties and general group accounting responsibilities. This will include regularly liaising with other offices and consolidating the groups subsidiary accounts.

THE ROLE:-

This role is a key member of the Group Finance team, responsible for producing high quality external and internal reporting and analysis both from an actuals and forecasting perspective, managing the simplification of the Group's corporate structure and providing guidance on accounting issues for the business.

Main duties & Responsibilities

-Analysis and review of month end reporting producing high quality commentary for Board reporting both from an actuals and forecasting perspective
-Full ownership of key sections within the annual and interim audit process and of the glossy accounts.
-Completion of accounting papers, including those reported to the Group's Audit Committee.
-Provide guidance on accounting issues for the business.
-Key Group Finance contact for the year end audit process
-Management of a key project to simplify the Group's corporate structure, including review of accounting entries from Finance Shared Services, technical support, liaising with key stakeholders across the business including legal, tax and treasury
-Manage share based payment records and process, liaising with HR and the Group's registrar.
-Assist with subsidiary statutory accounts process, including liaising with Finance -Shared Services to offer support and technical assistance and review to ensure accounts meet the Group's standards and are fit for audit.
-Assist with ad hoc projects and regulatory reporting

People Management/Leadership

-Full explanation of team structure and anticipated evolution will be made to candidates as part of the first interview.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

-A Group Financial Accountant with at least 2 years PQE (or equivalent)
-You will have experience working for one of the Big 4 practices' (Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse Cooper, KPMG etc.) or you will have relevant industry experience
-Essential - You must have experience with consolidation and preparation of year-end PLC accounts (under IFRS).
-PLC accounting experience
-A strong auditing background - as the role will also require the individual to work with the external auditors at year end period
-Month-end reporting experience
-Experience of UK GAAP, share option accounting and reporting and cash flows is also preferred. Strong technical accounting ability and knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
