Financial Accountant

Our client, a top tier bank, has an urgent requirement for a Financial Accountant to support UK Chief Accounting Officer in the accurate financial reporting (month end, VAT, regulatory, annual stats). The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in a similar role. CODA or TM1 experience would be a bonus. There is a possibility that this role will turn into a permanent role after first 2 months.

Key responsibilities:
*Review financial, regulatory accounting deliverables prepared by the offshore team and deal with day-to-day queries.
*Review Month End Financial Pack (2 entities and 1 business) and ensure deadlines are met
*Variance analysis of Flash/actuals Financial Pack and commentary
*Report figures to the MI team and Group and answer queries
*Liaise with the business to ensure the accounting reflects accurately and timely business developments
*Take initiative for process improvements and process reviews and their implementation

Essential
*Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
*Experience in a similar accounting role
*Experience in the following systems/applications is a plus: TM1, CODA, Saracen/Hyperion
*Good Excel skills is essential
