Financial Accountant

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or part Qualified Assistant Financial Accountant required by this market leading company in North Nottingham for a minimum of 7 months. You will be assisting the Financial Accounting Manager in ensuring the company financial reporting adheres to statutory and accounting regulations, the Group and company accounting policies and rel event Tax and VAT regulations. You will also prepare and report on the financial performance of the business.

Key responsibilities:
* Work as part of a team to produce financial reports for internal, group, external and statutory purposes
* To respond to audit and group enquiries for additional information
* Responsible for intercompany reporting to group
* Complete financial charges for allocated costs to the P&L accurately and to deadlines
* Assistance with VAT compliance, including submission of HMRC returns
* Responsible for providing VAT and accounting standards advice
* Maintain financial records

You will have strong technical ability on standards including UKGAAP & IFRS, and some exposure to VAT and Tax.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external clients. You must be confident with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

This role would suit someone looking to take their first step into industry from practice or someone who has previous experience of working as a financial accountant.
