Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant, £170 - £200 per day, 4 month contract, London (Paddington), Global Telecoms brand, interviews to take place ASAP!

*URGENT REQUIREMENT FOR A FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT WITHIN AN INSTANTLY RECOGNISABLE BRAND!*

This is a great role to conduct day-to-day accounting transactions posting in coordination with Group Accounting & Finance teams and in compliance with corporate policies and procedures (IFRS) and with UK GAAP, including but not limited to:

Payroll : transactions postings, accounts reconciliations and preparation of monthly payment to third party supplier. Main contact with HR team
Expenses : preparation of payments orders and check with expenses system
Suppliers : back up for AP
Brand fees Invoicing and other Interco invoicing
Accruals posting and control of transactions supporting documentation
- Proceed, at closing dates, with regular reconciliation and control of, but not limited to:

Fixed assets register to the general ledger
Foreign currency balances
Inter-company balances
Subsidiaries ledgers, especially AR
- Determine, justify, document and account for provisions and liabilities, depreciations, accruals and reversals based on business operations enquiries and commitments
- Prepare documents & reports according to Group and UK law requirements
- Extract TB and load into group consolidation tool and solve blocking controls
- Participate in Yearly audit and production of Statutory accounts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- professional degree in accounting, ACCA or CIMA on-going
- proven experience at Accountant level or equivalent
- good command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Oracle and Magnitude appreciated
- French language strongly appreciated

Team of 3 Financial Accountant reporting to Financial Controller
2 Trading companies and 2 Holding companies
