Finance Manager

JOB DETAILS:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager in a leading bank in Halifax within the Saving Reporting Finance team. Our team is focused on delivering strong financial controls, insightful analysis and effective commercial co-piloting to the business as well as operational excellence in all of our processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

As a Finance manager you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of finance support to the business.

Key tasks include:

- Responsible for the preparation of the Savings month end management accounts working to tight timescales, as required to meet reporting deadlines. This involves assisting in the preparation of P&L and Balance sheet accruals, maintenance of data controls, detailed reviews and product analysis, including variance to forecasts.
- Production of the Income trading forecasts, including checking the integrity of data and highlighting trends and performance against forecast, budget and prior periods to assist in timely decision making by Senior Management
- Produce monthly reconciliations, accruals and adjustment journals to facilitate the completion of the Savings month end accounts.
- Build relationships with Product and Pricing Managers to ensure a strong understanding of the business activities and to look at ways to help guide business decisions, understand information requirements and add value where possible.
- Continual development and improvement of reports, analytical models, information, systems efficiencies and controls in line with SOX compliance requirements. Controllership and analytical skills (preferably in Financial Services), self/work organisational skills
- Adhoc analysis as required.
-Provide support to team in production of regular income/cost projections to assist in timely decision making.
-Provide clear explanations to key stakeholders for any variances found during the reconciliation or month end process.
- Use financial and business management information to analyse trends and support month end commentary.
