File Transfer Developer (Payments)

FILE TRANSFER DEVELOPER (PAYMENTS): FILE TRANSFER DEVELOPER (PAYMENTS) is urgently required with excellent host-to-host communication experience to strengthen their Development and Operations team.
The File Transfer Developer (Payments) will be primarily contributing to a host-to-host file transfer solution for the automated processing of large volumes of payment orders from commercial customers, and the provision of reports back to them. The work will involve delivering IT solutions and actively participating in the on-boarding of new customers. In addition, the File Transfer Developer (Payments) will contribute to continuous delivery and continuous integration practices.

The FILE TRANSFER DEVELOPER (PAYMENTS) WILL IDEALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Master of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- You love technology and naturally stay up-to-date on relevant new developments.
- You have a strong customer-centric mind-set, helping the client to excel in on-boarding customers (responding to their expectations and needs)
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, preferably in creating high scalability mission-critical applications.
- You are able to develop efficient and maintainable code with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution.
- You have experience with Bash and at least one modern Scripting language (eg python)
- Sound knowledge of encryption and hashing mechanisms (eg PKI, RSA, SHA, DES, AES).
- Sound knowledge of communication protocols (eg SFTP, FTPS and AS2).
- Sound knowledge of connectivity (eg XFB), Firewalls, proxies, and VPNs. Preferable knowledge with package based solution for business 2 business file transfer.
- Good knowledge OS fundamentals, with the ability to apply it in the context of modern operating systems (eg Linux, Windows 2008/2012).
- Good knowledge of data bases and working experience with Oracle is preferred.
- Experience with packaging/deployment for different platforms, including Windows and Linux (RPM), is preferred.
- Familiarity with several tools to support continuous delivery and continuous integration, such as Gitblit, Jenkins, Maven, and Nolio, is preferred.
- You are proactive, perseverant and value a multi-cultural work environment
- You have the ability to work independently and together with your own team, being also capable to efficiently align with other internal parties or external customers
- You have very good analytical and problem solving skills
- You are proficient in English
