WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- In contact with clients over the phone and in the field and therefore has a direct impact on overall client and customer satisfaction
- with the Workplace Provisioning Group, which has a strong customer service and customer relations role.
- Responds to service tickets/calls received via the Remedy ticketing system to make hardware repairs, perform driver diagnostics, perform driver
- installs/updates, re-imaging, new printer installs, and upgrades (memory, storage, video) as well as small moves as needed.
- Perform routine refurbishing and component level repairs of PC workstations, laptops, and printers in a Service Level Agreement (SLA) environment for
- standard and in-warranty devices.
- Perform routine refurbishing and component level repairs printers, scanners, plotters, and other miscellaneous devices that are out of warranty as "best effort".
- Assemble and configure hardware for typical equipment configurations upon completion of component hardware replacement.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance of printers and elective PM per business unit request.
- Document activities, record service requests, review service request histories as a part of each trouble-shooting task, document resolutions of service requests, and close the problem ticket, using Remedy Help Desk.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles and basic electronics.
- Read and comprehend technical service manuals and publications
- One to three (1-3) years field experience in a breakfix or service department
- Able to diagnose and repair products by replacing worn or broken parts, and making technical adjustments.
- Makes appropriate use of reference publications and diagnostic aids in resolving technical problems.
- Detect and correct equipment errors.
- Prioritize and schedule own workload.
- Assist in coordination of changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environment.
- Provide accurate and complete answers to general use and administrative environment questions in a timely manner.
- Implement shared software, such as operating systems, configuration management tools, application and development tools, testing tools, compilers, and code editors.
- Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
- A+ Certification current or expired, nice to have
