Position Title: Field Technician

Market Location: Rapid City, SD

Job Information:

The Field Technician will perform preventative maintenance of cell site equipment and auxiliary equipment; CDMA, BTS, iDEN, and perform corrective maintenance of cell site equipment and auxiliary equipment, and plan and perform administrative tasks. Basic computer skills required. Perform inventory functions such as receive, assign and track parts within inventory management software program. Able to trouble shoot AC and DC power systems including tower light controllers. Provide Service Delivery work installing new cell site equipment from channel card elements up to complete new cell site installs. Able to follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform routine maintenance on all radio interface equipment.

Experience Required - Minimum 1 to 3 year of communications experience and electrical fundamentals. Preferably, 1 to 3 year of Telecom experience with data networking technologies troubleshooting capabilities.

Job Experience Required - 1 to 3 years using analysis tools to identify equipment related problems. Preferred - 1 year using test equipment DS1/DS3 test set, antenna sweep equipment, power meter and multi-meter. Contractor must provide a suitable vehicle for visiting cell sites and transporting stock of tools and spares.
