IT FIELD TECHNICIAN HOUSTON, TX CONTRACT TO HIRE

We are seeking an experienced A+ CERTIFIED IT FIELD TECHNICIAN capable of supporting clients within the Houston area. Contact us to find out why COMPUCOM IT WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS is the employer of choice for contractors!

This is a TEMP TO HIRE opportunity. In this role, you will be utilizing YOUR OWN VEHICLE and expensing mileage weekly. The ideal Field Technician will be motivated and driven to monitor and manage the quality of his/her work and maintain the work schedule as this is a role with high client visibility.

OVERVIEW

- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems at clients site.
- Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
- Provides Hardware and peripheral repair support, including direct interaction with the customer to identify problems and provide customer service and repair in a timely fashion.
- Documents, tracks and monitors the problem(s) to ensure a timely resolution.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and makes in-field repair decisions.
- May involve use of problem management databases and help desk systems as a mobile user.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 1 year(s) in a field environment supporting multiple client locations
- COMPTIA A+ CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- OEM Certifications desirable
- Lenovo and HP Hardware Certifications desirable
- Experience with HP Servers very beneficial
- Windows 7 and Windows XP Operating System experience including break-fix, installation, troubleshooting, imaging, etc.
- McAfee Antivirus 8.8 or comparable antivirus software experience
- Experience with cable inspection/organization/replacement (CAT5/Fiber)
- Laptop/desktop hardware break-fix experience
- Printers (Lexmark, Dell, HP)
- Service Now or comparable ticketing system with SLA driven automation
- Must have experience as a Field Tech supporting technical work as your own manager.
- Some experience with Asset management as it relates to tracking, receipt and shipping of equipment within SLA
- Software break-fix support experience
