FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN MINNEAPOLIS, MN CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

This will start as a project for two months and another month that could extend to full time employment continuing field dispatch support for these locations and others.

MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WORK HOURS AND ABLE TO WORK OT.

Candidate will perform service, repair and/or installation of company product(s) including system hardware, software, PCs and Point of Sale (POS) equipment. Serves as customer contact on technical and service related problems. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Represents CompuCom in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates.
- Processes timely and accurate information to ensure compliance with warranty requirements of vendors.
- Maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems and concerns.
- Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support as needed.
- Primarily provides Tier 1occasionally performs Tier 3 level support.
- Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment.
- Performs basic computer hardware and software installations.
- May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system.
- Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Requires 3+ years of related work experience, high school diploma, or technical training, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience
- Ability to obtain A+ certification with 90 days of employment
- POS experience required
- MF Printer support a plus
- Lexmark/other printer support required and certifications a plus
- Retail Service and Self-Checkout Device experience preferred
- OEM certifications such as Lenovo, Dell, HP, Lexmark, etc.
- Must be willing to go on a lift and fix Access Points when necessary throughout the Store locations
