This candidate will work part of the time at the deployment center in New Berlin and part of the time at the client site in Pewaukee.
OVERVIEW
- Install business specific software
- FDA Audit Support for IT PC/Printer setup
- Wyse terminals- thin clients (60 units) - handle connection issues with Citrix
- Assist users with connecting to websites
- Network printer support/static IP addresses
- Specialty printers: label and rating plate printers including industry familiar non-standard client printers - configurations
- Advise management/site leads of any outages
- Communicate impacts and informing status and when it's back up and running
- Single Point of Contact for 60 PCs for asset life cycle activities including lease refreshes, customize admin privileges and specific applications to be installed
- Support of Desktop Coreload Applications. Windows XP and 7 Operating Systems a plus
- Familiarity with Macs a plus
Coordinate/Assist as Single Point of Contact for user and business groups to infrastructure teams - Assist to locate unmanaged PCs in the client environment
- Provide intermediate computer hardware and software installations
- Operate as a team member on technology rollouts and end-of-life swaps
- Work with vendors and end users to resolve network hardware/software issues
- Work with the designated telecom team to program extensions at end user desks
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the On-Site Technical Support team and work regularly with Infrastructure and Application Owners to discuss unresolved incidents
- Provide input for internal programs, processes, and tools
- May conduct training programs designed to educate the organization's computer users about basic applications
- May participate in product evaluation, testing, and research of new technology
- Complete documentation provided by the customer to identify potential IT issues and/or document fixes
- Investigate system problems and provides solutions using specific product knowledge, system utilities, and operating environment
- Process timely and accurate information to ensure compliance with warranty requirements of vendors
- Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems and concerns.
- Organize data and prepares appropriate document for assignments.
- Represent in a professional and businesslike manner and communicate effectively with customers and associates
QUALIFICATIONS
- Position requires 2+ years of related work experience, or AA degree, or technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Awareness of ITIL Processes, A+ and OEM certifications required to be obtained within the first 6 months of hire
- Experience to provide day-to-day technical support to internal Wintel desktop systems software and hardware
- Ability to installs, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, Servers and network issues in a heterogeneous environment
- Experience to maintain passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment
- Ability to work independently with little instruction on routine work and general instructions on new projects or assignments
- Basic Understanding of Office 2010
- Basic/intermediate/advanced knowledge of Windows based operating systems
- Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice required
- Must have good oral and written communication skills to discuss technical issues with users, vendors and customers having diverse technical and business backgrounds
- Flexibility to be able to work between 7am - 6pm depending on the needs of the site
