Fermentation Specialist II Job

FERMENTATION SPECIALIST II needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WEST SACRAMENTO, CA

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experience in bioreactor operations and aseptic techniques
- Experience in fermentation and knowledge in microbiology
- Understand and use sterile techniques

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Adhere to all laboratory safety policies and practices as well as compliance
- Plan and implement fermentation experiments independently, including setup and turn-around of fermentation tanks
- Provide fermentation products to various internal and external departments
- Responsible for sample collection and submission, data collection and analysis
- Accurately and promptly document all laboratory experiments
- Provide written and oral summaries of experimental results to manager and project team
- Responsible for the maintenance of relevant equipment.
- Collaborates with other scientists and engineers with R&D biologics

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- S. in chemical engineering, bioengineering, microbiology, or related field with a minimum of years' experience in related fields
- Experience in fermentation and knowledge in microbiology to develop new fermentation process
- Skills in media design and fermentation optimization
- Experience in bioreactor operations and aseptic techniques

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to work well in a shared laboratory setting
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word in order to graph data and communicate research findings
