My client is a Government body seeking a Facilities Management Business Manager - London

This role in Estates is located within the team with the responsibility for contract and performance management across the corporate contract and both statutory and contractual  compliance by the facilities management Service Partner. The role will primarily act as ICF (Intelligent Customer Function) for the London locations, acting as an interface between the service partner and end users at these locations. Additionally the post holder will undertake ad hoc project and programme  management responsibilities either directly to the ICF role or to fulfil corporate responsibilities.

This is a pro-active and visible role in which the job holder will be expected to actively engage with our facilities management (FM) partners in key Central London locations in order to demonstrate contract compliance, working in partnership and customer engagement.

The post holder will be expected to engage with other colleagues in Estates Division evidencing joined up thinking, planning and decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Intelligent Customer Function 
- To gain familiarity, contract knowledge and a robust understanding of the Agreement. between the organisation and the facilities management Service Partner understanding not only formal obligations but also the spirit and intent; 
- To undertake the role, Intelligent Customer Function at the organisation`s Central London Office locations 
- To work with the service partner to demonstrate value for money is achieved whilst providing industry best practice solutions appropriate to the needs of the business; 
- To review management and performance management information providing qualitative assessment as to accuracy 
- To support the development of business wide initiatives including sustainability projects, estate strategy, contract management plans and stakeholder improvement plans; 
- To work with the service partner to evidence compliance with all statutory, qualitative management systems, security and relevant governmental and departmental policies;
- To support and lead the introduction of operational best practice into both the workspace and infrastructure asset 
- To manage ICF processes relating to all Core properties

Process management 
- To identify and set up processes and systems that deliver transparency and a robust audit trail to the facilities management contract

Operational Accountabilities 
- Manage the relationship with facilities management contractor at all London Core sites; 
- Provide appropriate and timely written and verbal feedback in a clear and structured manner; 
- Maintain effective departmental and stakeholder relationships through effective communication; 
- Undertake functional review in consultation with the facilities management provider 
- Manage change effectively

Knowledge  
- Proven Track record of success in supporting a major business contract and business unit or region and/or providing support to a professional function; 
- Likely to have in excess of 5 years facilities management experience; ideally in a multi site Central London office complex 
- Proven knowledge of Health and Safety ideally IOSH

Certificate. 
- Proven knowledge of project and/or programme management

Key skills required
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in an operational facilities management role, dealing with facilities management services providers
- Experience of working with FM contractors and driving improved service
- Excellent customer engagement skills
