External Communications Executive

EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE

£30,000-£35,000 PRO RATA

INITIAL 6 MONTH CONTRACT

We are looking for an experienced External Communications/PR Executive. This position is part of a product management team within NHS Choices, and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced communications expert to utilise their skills on a large government project.

The role will support the deployment of new functionality on the NHS Choices website - that assists users and potential users of social care services - by managing and executing approved communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and implement pre- and post-launch plans
- Plan, deliver and measure successful external communications, working with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Manage user groups and user testing
- Plan, deliver and measure successful engagement events if required
- Implement digital marketing if appropriate
- Implement social media marketing if appropriate

SKILLS:

- Proven experience in creating external communication materials for use in presentations to senior management and executives.
- Ability to absorb and process knowledge quickly
- Perseverance and attention to detail
- B2B marketing experience
- IT, software and or web based product experience
- Solid understanding of general marketing principles
