Expert (m/f/d) User Experience

* Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify UX research needs
* Plan and document UX activities supporting product development from early stage design to medical device regulatory submission
* Understand and incorporate business and technical requirements in UX research strategies
* Conduct research studies using the appropriate usability methods to identify user needs
* Synthesize research findings into meaningful themes and translate these results into actionable user-centered design and product goals
* Develop use scenarios translating into high level product use cases
* Collaborate with risk management and system engineering to analyze use case steps to identify potential use errors
* Plan, conduct, and evaluate scientifically formative and summative usability tests
* Document the results to report them to internal and external stakeholders
* Support medical device submissions with well formulated human factor reports

VORAUSSETZUNGEN:

* 4+ years of experience in user research with an emphasis on research related to medical device software and hardware product design
* Bachelor or Master in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or closely related field is preferred
* Excellent knowledge of all aspects of User Centered Design process and the ability to apply them flexibly across a variety of project types
* Experience with design control and regulatory practices and standards for medical devices or similar regulated industry is preferred
* Extensive experience working with designers, product managers, and engineers in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
* Ability to rapidly revise and improvise research plans as needed
* Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
* Experience with in-lab and remote, user research tools (e.g., Morae suite, User zoom)
* Proven project management skills and track record of delivering commitments on time
* Ability to be self-motivated to work both independently and with cross-functional, globally distributed teams, while also prioritizing time between multiple projects and staying flexible with changing schedules and projects.
* Excellent analytical ability, especially with regard to observation of user behavior
* Strong oral and written communication skills
