Expert Java Developer

EXPERT JAVA DEVELOPER required for our financial service client based in Zurich.

The ideal candidate will form an integral part of the software development team of the Global Rating Platform project. This project will enhance application functionality, drive and enhance long term quality of the product, an become a strong player for architectural, design and development work.

MAIN TASKS/ACTIVITIES:

- Develop service based code on the server using JEE 5/6, Java 5, Spring 3, JPA 2/Hibernate 3.6 (expert level in all of them)
- Fix defects, increase automated test coverage by enhancing and improving test automation
- Simplify
- Improve the processes by actively participating in the feedback loops

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Expert level JEE 5/6 and Java 5/6 development
- Expert level JPA 2/Hibernate 3.6+
- Expert level in Sprint 3.1+
- Expert level in fluently using Eclipse
- Expert level in Entity Relationship Modeling, and Object-Relational Mapping
- Expert level in automated testing, and test driven development
- Expert level in Refactoring
- Advanced level for build tools (Ant, Maven, DOS command line/Cygwin, Groovy, etc.)
- Advanced level using Jira and Confluence
- Advanced level Oracle 11 experience, Toad
- Work experience in large and virtual development teams
- Experience with Scrum, any additional training is a plus, potential Scrum Master
- Good communication skills, especially in English
- Strong analytical skills, due to the complex business domain
