Job description - High level task description:
*Part of Infrastructure & Operations, a highly dynamic team of dedicated subject matter experts managing a complex server environment.
*Responsibilities include:
oEnsure the availability, reliability, scalability, and manageability of the backup, AIX and network environments.
oInvestigate complex issues and provide resolution following standard incident, change request and problem management processes.
oCollaborating with the Operations Manager for capacity planning.
oGather requirements, design, and implement solutions to meet enterprise needs.
oResponsible for 24x7 research and resolution of production system problems.
*Other responsibilities include:
oCoaching & guiding more junior profiles
oRegular reporting to the Operations Manager
oSupport other technical teams and participate in project implementation when necessary
Technical
oUnix and Windows server technologies
*Knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as Citrix and Vmware
*Good knowledge of storage and back-up/recovery practices and procedures.
*Proven ability to design and support an adaptive infrastructure.
*Problem determination skills.
*Requires long-range technology planning skills.
*Highly Desirable: ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
*Results oriented, energetic and self-motivated
Language Skills
(mandatory) Bilingual FR - NL (French environment)
