North Africa

I am currently recruiting for one of the leading operators in North Africa who have make great strides in their exploration, development, production and operations in the last few years. This international operator is looking to hire an Expat Process Chemistry Technician / Production Integrity Expert
to work on a rotation in the North Africa.
This operator has been working in North Africa for almost twenty years from one well to one of the largest in the region and they contribute to almost a third of the total production for this company internationally. The operations in North Africa including over twenty concessions are breaking the production levels year on year and will continue to do so.
The plans for 2013 are encouraging with plans to continue development with large scale drilling, new facilities, modification and pushing the boundaries.
In this role as Expat Process Chemistry Technician / Production Integrity Expert you will be working in a JV Joint venture to represent this operators interest in operations within the field. You will be working on the field production operations to provide leadership and experience to the work force. The successful Expat Process Chemistry Technician / Production Integrity Expert will be working alongside the national employees.
The Expat Process Chemistry Technician / Production Integrity Expert will be working on a major oilfield which produces over 50'000 barrels of oil per day from a number of wells. No gas production is involved at this time.
You responsibilities would include but not limited to -
• Monitoring pigging and coating protection programs
• Implement corrosion and controls programs and monitor results
• Supporting mitigation of corrosion control matters
• Working with the laboratory for testing
• Minimising production chemistry risks with asset teams
• Liaising with Flow Assurance and production chemistry teams / experts to deliver the best possible solutions
To be considered for this role you will need to be and have -
• Extensive experience / knowledge of production chemistry
• Extensive experience / knowledge of scale, corrosion, water hydrate inhibition, separation, produced water treatment, reservoir souring and water injection management.
• Extensive experience / knowledge of water, oil and gas process systems
• Degree qualified in related field
• Multi cultural experience
• Remote location experience
Rate
Negotiable contract rate, 12 month contract (long term role) to be extended every year, completion bonus every 12 months, business class flights, accommodation and more.
